Rick, just so you know, science does back up the fact that muscle cramps are caused by sodium and potassium imbalance. Bananas are rich in potassium, which helps combat cramping.

I'm referring to building up a potassium supply in your body before the event. Some articles say yes it helps others say it helps to eat only during exercise or throughout or immediately after. I've had good success loading up the night before. I used to get horrible leg cramps while hosting games. Started the potassium cycle before and a little during the event and boom no more leg cramps. I offer as advice because I've heard many players talk about them from those dam hills
