Estacada Skirmish

Postby drpepper475 » Sat Oct 14, 2017 5:50 pm

Directions to the Field
I am going to assume that everyone knows where Estacada Oregon is (if you are not so sure, find Google maps, it is your friend). Pass through Estacada going east, and continue to head east on Clackamas Highway 224 . As you approach the top of the hill, you will see Fall Creek Road. Turn left onto Fall Creek Road, it takes a couple twists, then becomes Divers Road. Almost as soon as you're on Divers Road, you come to a stop, at Tumala Mountain Road. Turn Right onto Tumala Mountain Road, and follow it for about 10 miles till see a fork to right with a blue gate and a clear cut to the left. I will have a sign up to indicate the turn.

Played there yesterday and Blue team won. Not sure why everyone keeps saying this was a free game? Although it turned out to be free for me because Kathy asked me if I would take command of the Blue team and play the General. I got my entry and lunch paid for and 5000 .25 gram bbs. Thanks to all the guys on the Blue team for pushing hard even though the first game we got pinned down really hard trying to push up the hill. Once we gained ground and made it to the top of the hill we gained quick control over the objective (shopping cart) did our shopping throughout the map while protecting the pusher (guy with the cart) and made it back to the Embassy just in time to cash in the goods before the game ended.
The second scenario of the day was a basic conquest game played on their tactical field. Rush to and hold the fort. The game played for 50 mins. We got to the Fort first thanks to our younger and faster runners pushing hard right off the start. We lost about 8 players in the first engagement but that gave the guys running plenty of time to make it inside the fort, and the rest set up a strong perimeter. From there we held them off pretty easily even pushing them back into their spawn and the refs had to call us back to the fort. At the end of the game we had 14 players in the fort.
Last scenario of the day was a Turkey Cook. Up in sector 7 was a hidden cook pan and a small turkey. We had to find both and protect the carrier till we could get back to the Embassy, get a smoke grenade form the admin then take all three items to the Supply Depot at the other end of the map to "cook" the turkey. Visibility deteriorated quickly so making our way their was difficult but the good thing was that we had a large group of us escorting and protecting the turkey carrier that any resistance was easily dispatched. In the end we never made it all the was to get the Turkey 'cooked' before the game was called due to time, but we did get all the capture points. All and all it was a great day White team put up a good fight but we got the points in the end. Look forward to playing there again. GO BLUE!!

yeah so that fact that you mention sector 7 means that your talking about action acres not the estacada skirmish.
