Chrono issues

Postby binicb2r » Sun Dec 08, 2013 9:49 pm

Figured this was the place to put this. I recently built up a new gun. Hurray for friends who dont want a gun after it eats a couple gears.

Anyways, I have a Chrony F1 and a Madbull Revolution V2 and cant get a reading from either. Neither will even act like a projectile has gone through. Both are currently being used indoors as it got up to 10 degrees today. I am also shooting white BBs through them as my .20s are white. Batteries are fine in both.

Any suggestions on how I can get these things to work?

They work on a light beam being broken, if you have too much light enter the front end it will not read anything. At least that is how mine work.

Both these work on a similar principal.

The madbull you shoot through it down a little dark hole. The Chrony has light defusers and I have tried with them on and off.

Try using them in a very bright room or setting them outside. They aren't really designed to be used indoors.

Another thing that I've found that works if you need to chrono indoors is put a flashlight on top of each of the diffusers. The added light did the trick, but this is fut the F1 only. I've never had that much experience with the Madbull and tend not to trust their readings.
