Spring Velocity Guide

All springs tested were in Brand new condition. Results are based on controlled indoor conditions at roughly 70 degrees F. The results are +/- 10 f.p.s. Please use this as a point of reference not as a true point of fact. The velocity in your personal gun may vary depending on age of your gun and internal parts.

Systema:

1 Joule - 310 f.p.s.

M100 - 365 f.p.s.

M120 - 395 f.p.s.

Prometheus:

MS90SP - 315 f.p.s.

MS100SP - 340 f.p.s.

SP100 - 395 f.p.s.

SP110 - 425 f.p.s.

SP120 - 440 f.p.s.

KM:

90M - 318 f.p.s.

100M - 343 f.p.s.

120M - 396 f.p.s.

140% - 380 f.p.s.

150% - 405 f.p.s.

170% - 440 f.p.s.

Angel:

120% (85-95m/s) - 318f.p.s.

130% (95-110m/s) - 343 f.p.s.

140% (110-125m/s) - 430 f.p.s.

21st Century Airsoft has another spring guide that conflicts with this one (it is also only a guideline)

Prometheus
MS110SP - 390 f.p.s.
MS120SP - 440 f.p.s.

These are incorrect. MS110 Prometheus spring will get you about 385 FPS with a tightbore and good compression. MS120 Prometheus Spring will get you 415 FPS with a tightbore and good compression. Prometheus springs are all I use and I have never had a Ms120 shoot higher then 415 FPS. And my AEG only has a 1 FPS varience so I know my compression is right.

Edited to add:

Actually most of this list is wrong. Guarder MS120's do not shoot 440 FPS either. Most manufacturers a M120 spring will give you just under or just over 400 FPS. Prometheus M120's shoot harder then any other manufacturer of M120s I have ever used (I have installed and tested most brands) and they only give you 415 FPS.

The MS110 is close enough I guess but I am going to nitpick over 25 FPS with the 120's.

I really would like to see how you got that spring to move at 440 FPS.

Even doing the math of 120 Meters per second it only comes to 393.700787 FPS. Can you post of a picture of the Chrony numbers from this test?

Systema M85 is not listed, would it be over 300FPS at all in a stock JG?

please be more specific, are you upgrading anything else? personally I would recommend a M110 by anyone who makes them. It will up your fps a bit and still leave you room to add other enhancing upgrades.

(keep in mind this is merely an opinion)

Sir, my MP5K with SP100 only able to produce less than 320fps? Everything were stock except the spring and bushings.
Is it because the MP5K is a short barrel gun?
Thank you.
