Pro Win Hop up in a VFC 416

Postby Engine » Mon Sep 07, 2015 2:25 pm

Hello all,

I recently purchased a Pro Win Hop Up unit for my VFC HK416 and for some odd reason it does not want to seem to cooperate. I have searched around and have found nothing that will tell me how to fix it. Does anybody have any ideas to fix this?

Thanks

Well first question would be....
Whats wrong with it?
What is it doing?
Just some info like that.

That may help...

Currently, my main issues are:

Certain magazines are not fitting anymore (such as my lancer tactical ones)
There is a large fps drop
When shooting, the hop up has no effect and drops approximately 10 feet in front
Many times one or two bb's will not leave the barrel then on the last trigger pull multiple bb's fly out
The lower receiver is tougher to put back with the upper receiver

I believe that is all the issues that I am having.

I could be wrong here but sounds like your hop up and your air nozzle don't line up right. Air nozzle might be to long.

Sounds like your bucking and nub are not installed correctly, check those first.

I have heard of removing barrel shims, do you think that would work?

I am pretty sure that those are installed correctly. Apparently Pro Win and VFC don't get along

My vfc 416 has a prowin in it. Like I said I took it to Jesse at airsoftoutletnw and he made it work. If I remember right he removed some barrel shims so that the prowin would seal against the nozzle, but that was 2 years ago. I'm sure he could make it work in your if you took it in.

Thanks, I was sort of hoping I could find a free fix but I guess your way is the best way to do it.
