Help Identify This Gun

Postby Damien » Tue Aug 02, 2016 6:31 pm

Bought a airsoft gun from a Pawn shop a while back and have been using it for a bit. Works great and shoots like a dream, with a metal gearbox. but I have no idea what make it is. I had the thought that it might be a Dytac but haven't been able to lock anything down. Any input would be helpful. When I bought the gun it had a tan vertical grip and no sights. It says "Milsim Only" on the barrel, and a C AF on one side of the upper receiver. Also has a patent number on the stock, but i've come to learn that its just the style of stock, not gun.

Gun I thought it was: http://www.evike.com/products/42658/

The reason i'm not sure about this being my gun is that one says "Knight's Armament" and mine doesn't, mine says Milsim Only.

Dytac would be a safe guess. I can't think of any other company with a hydro dipped MC rifle that's come out recently. Since Dytac doesn't have access to the KAC branding rights, they could have easily just printed/engraved something else on the replica so customs wouldn't ban them from being imported.

Yup. Google-fu says Dytac URX in multicam.

http://ptairsoft.blogspot.com/2012/10/n ... dytac.html

Note the crane stock, which points at the 2012-13 series. New ones come with the Magpul-style. Also, the drilled pattern along the RIS matches. Plus, weird black hand-stop bit.

Front flash hider is different, but not really surprisingly so. Looks like a standard dipped birdcage.

Yep, functions amazingly. Doesn't have the fastest rate of fire but its grouping it great. That's why I slapped a scope on it.

Also, your hand stop thing may be installed backwards. If you flip it around, you can use it as a standoff against barriers. Also, the curved side hay me a bit more comfy on your hand. Or, you might just remove it entirely.

@Steve Thank's for the input. That's where it was when I got the gun and just never bothered to do anything with it. I personally don't use it but I just liked the black pieces on it for nothing more than visuals.

@ClownBaby I don't know much about Dytac's. I never looked into them. I just walked to the pawnshop and bought it for $55, and having payed $100 for a used Combat Machine, I figured this was a safe investment.
