Op: Rescue Dawn ***POSTPONED***

Postby BoogeyMan » Sun Mar 18, 2012 12:44 am

My apologies to everyone - this game has to be cancelled due to unforeseen personal reasons. I will work on getting this put on in the future. My apologies for any inconveniences this has created. I promise you this will be a quality event once things are resolved. Thanks and once again I'm sorry.

I encourage you to enjoy the other events in August being put on locally at Camp R&R and of course the highly anticipated Op: Tradewinds at Rilea.

Call the surgeons and tell them to take the day off, because I'll be doing all the operating now.

There's a point where this needs to stop, and we've clearly passed it

Class size: 60
Uniforms: MARPAT or MULTICAM (Full Uniforms - no softshells)
Mag Restrictions: Mid-Cap / Standard Cap / Real-Cap Only
Equipment: Radios, Bolt Action Rifles, SAW

What does "Full uniform- no softshells" mean?

does that mean I have to have an exact(of near) match of the uniforms worn by military?

It means that often at games, you'll have two opposing forces. One wears a green based uniform and one wears a tan/brown based uniform.

But then the green side will have someone wearing a black softshell jacket, or a brown one, and vice versa. Also an issue is headgear that is solid color, or not in line with the uniform.

When you see someone pop their head up, and all you see is a solid color baseball cap or a solid color jacket, you have no idea who you're looking at, while they know what you look like in the proper uniform. It's an unfair advantage, and happens at a lot of the amateur-ran events.

I wear MARpat pants and top w/ black ball cap, black vest, and black leg holster w/ tan boots,

would that be acceptable?

(I think I'm overthinking the statement)

Unless the rules state you have to wear matching headgear, then you're fine. This game doesn't mention your cover (hat) so you're good. Just don't put a coat on that's solid color, and you should be fine.

Thanks - that's right.

Full uniform includes Pants and Blouse. Cover and tac gear aren't an issue.

I read the ammo thing and I'm confused,

Would I have to purchase the ammo on site from the event hoster, or would I still be allowed to use my .23's(bio) that I bought at AONW

Thanks for the reminder - I have changed the Bio policy above to reflect the current negotiation with the field owner.
You can use your own bio bbs, however they must be one of the above listed brands in the original bag.

What about ammo from AONW, I'm not sure if they're just a rebranded ammo(like madbull but with the AONW sticker on it) or if they make their own.
