Echo 1 M28 power issues

Postby The Italian Job » Sat Apr 20, 2013 4:56 pm

So I got myself an M28, and lone behold, it's firing incredibly weak. I'd say it gets about 150ft. But it's also not even shooting close to straight. Now I'm certain it's together correctly, and even has a new piston. And I've tried almost every setting with the hop-up. What could be wrong with it?

BB weights, Hop up bucking, TBB, Stability of firing stance. There are many things that could be wrong. Also, what kinda compression do you have?

Oh hooray! Haha jkjk.
Well, I'm sort of a noob at these guns. When you say spring compression, do you mean like when you can supposedly lower fps by leaving the spring compressed? I bought this gun used, and I haven't compressed it. But again, im a newb so I have no idea. The barrel is a stock 6.03 I think, and taking the reciever apart, everything looks fine.... But Idk what to look for.

With Compression I mean, How air tight is your Cylinder and piston Combo, and how well does your Hop up seal with the Air Nozzle. Also, firmer Hopups are good for High FPS I hear. ((Some one with more experiance correct me if I am wrong.))

I'll have to check that. Maybe the gun needs new bucking. Might also try some teflon tape. I've heard some people do that as well...

I have used the Teflon tape mod you speak of. It did wonders for my CQR.
