jg bar 10 issues

Postby ghostface320 » Thu May 14, 2015 8:32 pm

ok so I just upgraded my jg bar 10 with the angel piston set and it dry fired fine the first time. Now with a loaded mag the bolt pulls back fine however when pushing it back in its tough, but it does go back in and lock in place. but then when i pull the trigger the trigger locks up and the gun doesnt fire. Ive checked the parts and they are all fine (bought new sears btw) so i need help lol any input would be appreciated thanks.

Did you install the barrel into the hop up unit upside down and the hop up nub is catching the BB or nozzle?
Did you upgrade the internals of your bolt as well? It could be a miss threaded nozzle cap on the bolt that makes it not go straight into the hop up unit?
Is it an an actual JG Bar 10 or is it a clone?
I ask because JG is a clone of the TM and sometimes the clones of the clones, aren't made with the same exact specs as the original that the parts were made for AKA the TM. The parts may line up in space, but the space changes when they are actually put into the gun. Also are you sure you didn't just get a bad part from evike?

Do you see rubbing or scratches on the nozzle or on the hop up unit, is this where the catch is occurring? Or is it more like the nozzle is catching on the hop up rubber?

First step is put EVERYTHING from the original gun back in. Than change out one part at a time and see if it works. If it does, move on to the next part. If it doesn't, there is your issue.

This sounds like a sear issue to me (either misaligned, not to spec, or installed improperly).

Bolt action rifles require a LOT of work and maintenance to keep shooting the way people want them to. Personally, I'm about $600 and 100hrs into my bolt that I've had for 6 years now. The only stock parts are the receiver, stock, and cylinder.

Is that a trait among FOADies? Do you need to bring coffee urns to the spawn stations? Because it seems like sometimes you guys are kind of slow to react to things.
