Nice. The prices have really dropped since I got my Quansheng TG-UV (not TG-UV2) in 07.
Paid $113 for it. It has about half the features of the UV3D, but is a solid radio and has been going strong for over 4 years. Now you can get the TG-UV2 for about $85.

Shit! My license expired last week. Really? I've had it for 20 years.

I guess it's time to make some calls to the FCC?

I think you have a grace period in which to renew. Here is the FCC site where you can renew online:

if you applied for an FRN number before the test you can do a search by your FRN here:
http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSear ... icense.jsp

otherwise you're gonna have to go through a list one by one here:

You can search ULS by first and last name. I do it all the time.

Also, just finishing up an exam session. Had about 15 people here, good turnout, most folks passed the exam they applied for.

My examiner said that it would show up in the FCC ULS a day before the QRZ site, and to search by area code. Hopefully Tuesday I'll have my call.

Congrats, we'll have to set up a sked on the Hebo repeater when I can get range on it. If I recall it took two weeks to get my call from the FCC but it could be my bad memory.
Did you sign up using an FRN? I went so far to get a P.O. Box to keep my address out of the public database.

Lol. Nah, I'm not that paranoid about my call being around. I'm gonna change it to a vanity when I can anyways.
