Radio programming

Radios and communication related equipment.

I am not familiar with this particular radio, but in looking into your question, it seems you need Motorola software, a Motorola programming cable, and possibly an older computer to run the programming software. I found this website. http://69.65.114.219/ht1000/rss-doc.pdf

Best of luck.

PS. Last I checked, the use of MURS freqs is only allowed at 2 watts and GMRS frequencies require an $80 license from the FCC. HAM radio channels require a license from the FCC.

Yes there is, I do not know the particulars, but our comm people would "clone them" to others. I used one for 10 plus years, and In my opinion it was the finest portable radio that I ever used.

Same, I used them when I worked for Olympia and since I've worked for WSU.

I'm replacing my ICOM with one, hopefully, but I need to find someone who can program a 1000 if I'm going to go ahead with the replacement.

When we purchased the one I used, the local commercial comm provider (Clackamas communications I think) set it up with their computer, contact whomever provides this service in your area and see what they can tell you. Mine got hard usage 24/ 7 constantly exposed to the elements ( bike patrol) it never failed me. I used the same one from 94-04 with a blue racer headset. I loved it.

I'm doubting that Radio Shack would have the Motorola software. I would Google who the nearest Motorola distributor is and check with them. I'm pretty sure that this is proprietary stuff. The big M protects their turf.

I doubt a retailer will program the channels you want (FRS) because that radio violates the laws regarding FRS transmissions (removable antenna, more then .5W,...).

Jew has it. He did our programming. Let me see if I can dig it out of my HAM program though.

Nasty, that is one serious radio for airsoft. I would not spend that kind of cash for that purpose, but its your cash. If you don't mind, what did you have to pay for it? The gov. cost as I recall was about $700.
