Improving the consistency of gas guns

Postby Alien_Hunter » Fri Dec 06, 2013 4:14 pm

I recently purchased a huge lot of airsoft guns. I want to trade one of them for a KWA ATP. How much work will it take to make it a consistent shooter? In terms of grouping, reliability and over consistency? It's cold in Cali so I'm not expecting much out of GBB this season.

Tap it for HPA, run it at 200psi. Get a 110mm supressor and run an extended barrel through it. Than use nothing but .43g bb's. You'll have the godliest pistol in the world.

That does sound quite "boss" as the youth now say. What psi do the mags normally hold?

So, I noticed that you mix up "then" and "than". Here is a link that should help.

You're welcome

Just typical AP behavior, that's all.

Also, as for the suppressor idea, just be sure to get a new outer barrel for the ATP that has a 14mm ccw thread, the one that comes with the stock outer barrel is not standard.
Also, it's very, very weak. Mine had a hairline fracture on the barrel that ended up causing the whole outer barrel to split and fall out of the front of my gun when shooting it. While hilarious, it's not a good thing to happen in the middle of a game...

Best fail goes to my friend who fell on his back and is too fat to get up, so he rolled like a turtle on its back while firing an AK74u at his attackers one-handedly. In a way, it was awesome. I think I'll buy an enhanced spring set and the suppressor, and jack the shazaam out of this gun if I get one.

An ATP will not accept your standerd suppressor.

That's why I pointed out that he should get a new outer barrel with a standard threaded barrel...

Just be sure to get a G17 barrel for KWA/KSC, not TM/WE, since TM G (and their clones) pistols are slightly wider than that of the KWA/KSC. You can try to find the Guarder G17/18 KWA/KSC barrel, but the last time I checked, I couldn't find them in stock anywhere.

I noted what you said Soldier, I stated that because Alien-Hunter said he would go with a enhanced spring set and a suppressor.

Thank you,

Any suggestions for an enhanced spring guide?

Any aftermarket parts for KWA/KSC G17 pistols should work. The Guarder Steel recoil spring set is relatively easy to find (example, http://www.evike.com/products/25902/). I don't know how well it works, but if you want to try it, please tell us how it works, I may get it for my own ATP if it's worth it.

Is there any need to add things like rocket valves, new pistons, blah blah blah? I have read conflicting reports that the Ns2 pistols already have such parts, besides a new spring set and guide rod there would really be need to add anything. If I could even find those old G series parts. . .
