Pistols for a Lefty?

Postby maflickner » Sun Dec 15, 2013 6:48 pm

Hi all. New to Airsoft Pacific, not so much to the sport. So I'm building a new loadout, and to complement it I need a new sidearm. Now here's the main issue: I'm left handed, and while I can shoot with both hands, I'd rather have the controls either ambidextrous or lefty friendly. I've been scouring and I've come up with a list of quite a few pistols
M&P 9C by VFC
Along the same lines, WE's "Big/Little Bird" line of pistols
WE DM40 (xdm knockoff)
VFC Walther PPQ
WE PX4
My question to you good people is, are there any other guns out there (somewhat affordable, please) that have the following traits:

Ambidextrous/swappable magazine release
Ambidextrous safety (trigger safety O.K.)
Either the ability to power stroke (release the slide by racking back) or an ambi/swappable mag release

Thanks in advance for your responses.

I've never had any issues with any pistol as a lefty. M9's are a good choice. Really your two biggest consideration should be: the magazine release button and the safety.
I'm the osiris of this.

KWA USP Match. Ambi everything and has range for days.

The HK45 is good too. I never use the safety, just decock it before I holster it.

KWA M9 and KWA 226 can have the mag release switched if you're good at tech work on pistols.

226's are one of the worst pistols for left handed people. The control group is all clustered on the left side of the weapon, making manipulation much more difficult.
