KWA HK45

Postby book42 » Tue May 27, 2014 11:40 am

Hey all,

This may be old news, but I thought I'd let everyone know regardless. So, I bought a KWA HK45, and I love it! Shortbus told me JewishNinja runs with one as well. Thing feels great in the hands and great blow back and trigger response. However, I hate the outer barrel... with its bright orange tip and threads that fit, well certainly none of my existing silencers. Then I stumble across this product- http://www.crw-airsoft.com/detonator-cn ... 9604-p.asp. ehobbyasia also carries them, but more than likely they're out of stock. Just got it, popped it in (super easy) and presto!... super cool metal barrel with threads that fit all my silencers and works (couple mags down-range and so far no issues).

Hope this brings smiles to some of the HK45 users out there.

Best regards,

WOW! Thanks man, I was looking for an outer barrel! Now I can actually get one, is it pot metal? Or actual steel? :o

I stuck that badboy on mine and I love it. I did have to file the outer barrel a bit to get it to cycle correctly, but it wasn't more than 10 minutes with some sand paper.

Anytime, Jmonday. Can't answer your question though. Don't know what kind of metal comprises the barrel. For me the "Detonator" brand fit perfectly. Feels light enough, could be aluminum, however, it's probably pot metal.
