I don't think I have ever seen an airsoft gun defined as one of the following.

576-015-0020
Offenses Proscribed by the University
A Student or Student Organization found to have committed any of the following proscribed acts is subject to sanctions under these rules
(8) Possession or use of firearms, explosives, dangerous chemicals, or other dangerous weapons or instrumentalities on institutionally-owned or controlled property, in contravention of law or institutional rules.

If you transport it an a large bag that is not an obvious gun case and don't have it out in public I think you would be fine. If you want to handle your airsoft gun or gear do it in your room with the door closed and only around people you know who are not, with all due respect, uber leftist scaredy cat know nothings. You are in college but not in Eugene so you might find a couple.

Don't let others fear and ignorance stop you from doing things that you are allowed do.

Not to advertise...
...But there is a facebook group Corvallis Airsoft Coalition (CAC) which I and a group of friends made a while back to help people in Corvallis keep themselves up to date on Airsoft events as well as smaller local skirmishes. It is usually used for organizing carpooling for people within Corvallis where in older Airsofters are concerned. Loner guns are also lent out to CAC members, provided they have not yet invested in Airsoft (Usually new to airsoft as a whole). Small 'back yard' skirmishes are also hosted through CAC to help new Airsofts get a feel for the the game and get some basic 'training' around gun safety and airsoft-based rules.

All the same, that's out there for anyone within the area needs such a thing. I hope this was helpful information.

Ok, so this thread is 3 years old, but... Anyone in Corvallis? I'm a student finishing my last year at OSU, transitioning into full time professional work this summer. I used to be involved in AP activities in high school, but engineering programs tend to take away from long distance hobbies. :) Now I'm getting back into it after a 5 year break (started playing in 2004).

Message me if interested in networking and getting something local going. I have a place outside of town I usually use to play (private land, waiver required, NOT open invitation, sorry). Used to have a large group, most have since graduated and moved on. There are still a couple old members of my team around (NIST 404th) that I used to be in charge of. It would be nice to get it back up and running again.

I'm a student in Corvallis as well, and would be down to start playing some local games or at least carpooling to events.

I work in Corvallis, if that counts.

The game at The Swamp is probably the closest airsoft game you'll find to Corvallis since the kids in Albany quit playing on their "field" (it was a stretch of powerline access).

Okay, then I apologize for the inconvenience and my terrible grammar and spelling earlier.

Kudos. One of the few times somebody actually owned up, and was willing to move on, rather than arguing to the point of nauseum.
Now as far as a replica on campus, my take would be that unless you were able to transport and store it in a manner in which nobody could tell it was a gun, I wouldn't do it. Something smaller like a retractable stock MP-5 that was kept in a duffle or something might be ok, if you were very diligent regarding keeping it concealed, would probably be ok. But the last thing you, OR the airsoft community needs is somebody freaking out over an assault weapon being seen on campus, and creating negative press.

As far as places close to Corvalis, there's The Swamp in Lebanon. They usually have an airsoft game once a month. I couldn't attend the last one, but heard there were a few too many people for the size of play field. But, they are expanding, and every time I've played there it's been an absolute blast. Very inexpensive as well, and they advertise their events on this site as well. And the guys that posted previously that are in your area are good guys. If you find an area to play, but em up. They know people, and maybe you can make a game of it. Who knows, maybe even my fat a$$ will show up???
Good luck, and welcome.
