Beta Project M4 PMAG review(1/2/12)

So recently I purchased a box of PMAG's for my GG GR15 XL. Ive decided to write a reveiw, this is my first reveiw so give me feedback.


Item: M4 PMAG
Cost: $52.00 at Airsoft Outlet NW
Works with: M4/M16/SCAR/ACS/L85/TAR21
Magazine capacity: 75rds, can fit 85 but do not exceed 80 for it damages the spring


First Impression:
When you first look at the box you will see a green and brown cardboard box that is very nicely presented(see image I).
Upon opening the box you will notice all the magazines are packaged in individual plastic baggies. Upon opening the baggie you will see the magazine is all plastic and has imitation plastic casings in the magazine(see image II).

Performance:
I loaded all magazines with exactly 75 rds of ammo. After firing all 75rds from the 5 magazines I never once had a misfeed.

Pros:
-Fair priced
-good carrying capacity
-light
-look really cool

Cons:
-Plastic(easy to break)

Can you attach a Magpul Ranger Plate? On the Star Green Label PMAG you can attach a Ranger Plate but it does not have the nub to lock it in place.

It comes with these little stock plate on the bottom that you can slide off and replace with mag-pulls

don't overload them. Otherwise you will have a jammed up feed tube.

Luckily I know how to fix them without tearing into the mag

52$ for a box? i got mine cheaper thanks to rick

like riddick said if the mag is full and you try to cram a few extra bbs in you'll knock the follower out of aliment and it wont come back
once its jammed its hard to get it working again, i accidentally jammed a few the first time i got these and i let let jester and scardshooter smash it on the ground a few times and the spring never came back. i took it to rick and he had to modify one of his unjaming rod to get it working again

which i like to point out even though its plastic these mags can stand up to a lot more abuse than some of those metal mags made in china

also in comparison to the STAR pmags, the beta project ones doesn't have the notch where the mag catch holds the mags; which some of the non M4/M16 platforms were having feeding issues with the STAR mags because of it.

For reviews, don't use a crappy camera. Use a good camera to get good quality pictures. Nothing turns me off to something more then looking at crappy cell phone pictures (and it's even hard to get bad cell phone pictures now a days with 8mp+ cameras in them...).

Get as many pictures of all different angles. See to see what I mean. Good pictures are better then anything you can write.
