Difference in MICH2000 and ACH

Difference in MICH2000 and ACH

I have two helmets. One is issued, and one is more comfortable and personally owned. I'm wondering what the difference is as they have two separate NSN numbers. Both numbers look up to be basically the same thing:

Correct.

But I was wondering the difference of these two. The only thing I see different is that one is issued and one just has the MSA tag. Both have NSN numbers that say basically the same thing, BUT they are different NSNs.

Well one says "Helmet, Advanced Combat" and the other one says "Advanced Combat Helmet"

God the Army is retarded.
