I've always thought that the AR design compacted down to a small gun was a bad idea. Where do you put that big-ass buffer tube and spring?

The buffer is not a necessary item, it's just a nicety to reduce recoil down to near nothing.

Sorry about the necro post, but I figured this was a good place to ask.

Is there any way to fit a battery inside hand guard so you don't have to use the pig as PEQ box on the little gun?

First thingy. They made so you can fit a lipo under the RIS, but its a rather spendy bit to make it happen.

I found this on the net. apparently you need only remove the gas tube and get the lipo battery linked to. I believe and trust XavierMace, he has helped me alot when it came to customizing my ICS M4. His info has always been spot on.
