CA SR-25 (LOTS of pics)

CA SR-25 (LOTS of pics)

Just got one and I plan on doing a field review it over the next few months as a DMR, then the internals.

Externally, its good but not the best I've seen or felt. The metal is probably aluminium but definitely not steel, standard for CA. The only realistic trade marks are the trades on the rails and sound augmenter (mock suppressor for anyone who doesn't get it. It may not suppress the sound, but it changes it) but those aren't totally correct.

As for realism, the trades on the body/RIS and the fact that the fire selector has a hole in it to allow fully automatic fire, its spot on for the SR-25/Mk. 11. Some online pictures make the features of the real SR25 body seem very sharp. I'll post comparison pictures once I get a hold of my friends SR25 match to show that they really aren't that different.

Real thing:

Full review to come, obviously.

I was under the impression that KAC made the SR25.

Correct, but the only real SR-25 I've seen first hand had an armalite RIS and It will be several months before I know about the suppressor.

edit: Never mind, RIS was put on later. So its technically correct in a sense, but not accurate. I'll correct that.

Very good price & nice rifle! the A&K clone already costs $200 plus & its zinc alloy made.
Wonder how hard the CA shoots..
