It was my understanding that TACP operators do not fall under AFSOC untill they become JTACs (meaning they can work by themselves and not in teams of 2 among other things) this allowes them to intergrate with other units to preform CAS and other such duties. JTAC work with SF, and Rangers a lot. however CCT are usually assigned to SEALs due to a higher security clearance req. hope this helps(:

TACPs (Tactical Air Controller Party) are teams of two or more TACP-trained airmen, usually with a JTAC (Joint Terminal Attack Controller) attached to coordinate aerial support fire. TACPs are AFSOC.

alright. thanks for the clarification. i was not sure.. ive only talked to Marine Corps JTACs and they werent sure how it works for the AF. so thanks. 8)
