Looks like a bot. At least they are getting smarter. The topic was 5 years stale, but the months match up. And the response actually sounds not entirely un-plausible.

Edit: Since the topic did get re-opened, it might be useful to note that a lot of the older surefire lights used incandescent bulbs. The newer ones use LEDs.

There are rechargeable CR123As on the market. But instead of being 3 volts nominal, they are 3.7 volts. the combined 7.2 volts (2 cells) will burn out Surefire 6V incandescent lamps.

The LED lamps in newer Surefire lights are voltage regulated, so you can generally get away with using rechargeable CR123s in them. You don't get nearly as much run time, but you can recharge them. In some of them, you can also use 18650 rechargeable packs in place of CR 123s as well.

Because they do voltage regulation, Surefire lights are generally less bright than some of the cheaper alternatives. The tradeoff is that with a non-regulated LED, you get really bright light that fades on a curve until it quits. With the Surefires, you get about 60% of the LED's max brightness in a stable, flat output for 90% of the run time before it starts to dim. You also get a longer life on the LED bulb.

Good to know.
I use a 951 but replaced the bulb with a LED bulb.
Was planning to start using rechargeable and will have to remember not use them when using the normal bulb for the IR filter.

BOT casts SHAME on DAN. Critical Hit.

DAN is REMINDED OF INAPPROPRIATE TOUCHING IN JUNIOR HIGH.

DAN is UNCLEAN IN THE EYES OF HIS FATHER.

BOT wins.

So how many XP does he get with his modifier?

And can my character gleen any XP from this encounter?
I'm trying to level up soon, so I can use the new sword I found.

Since we're derailing, I'd like to share info on a great light I just found, the Streamlight Stylus Pro.
Great little light, strong pocket clip, plenty bright, good spill, very lite weight and slim, (perfectly temple sized diameter for defensive strikes) momentary/steady on-off. Some crazy 50,000hr bulb? Fits in molle row.
Retails for $18-$20.
