I dont think anyone thought you were a scrub, the fact this isnt a what sniporz gun shud I buy thread was a good indication of that. A hybrid of an M4 and a DMR is really just a well tuned M4.
That is something we keep meantioning but doesnt seem to be hitting home. No gun out of the box is great. It takes time and money to tune your gun to your specific game style. I own 2 Claassic Army M4s, both perform well once I tuned them to their specific job. The first is a CA Sportline M4 modded for CQC, its short barreled and spits bbs out the front end at a good rate. The other is a CA M4 CASV, with a long inner barrel out the length of a suppressor. It can reach out more acurately than my cqc gun and is setup to acurately make longer shots. The do very diferent jobs but they both perform well. They could both perform much better if I wanted to invest more time and money, but they do their jobs so why bother.
Airsoft isn't an all in at once sport, it never has been. Even for the guys who have mass amounts of money lying around, there will always be anothe mag pouch you need, or a new gun comes out that looks better, or a new game style that you want to try, which will mean a new setup, a new load out, or something else. Its built into the sport like a drug. So I can apriciate the idea of having expendable, cash now and not having it later, but what you have and what you want is never going to be equal once you go,down the rabit hole.
As far as that CA you bought off the rich kid, are you sure it wasnt that he messed up the gun and sold it off for cheap? Maybe he screwed up the hopup and it wasnt shooting righ, or bent the inner barrel. There are a million things that could be wrong with a used gun and unless you know what you are doing and what makes the gun tick your going to be hard pressed to fix any problems that arise. My guess is its something thats easily fix able and no one who touched it knew how to fix it.
We do what we want
