Topic: "SOILED UNIFORMS SENT TO ME FOR CONVERSIONS/MODS..ETC"

I thought this was in the common sense category, however, it appears that it needs to be addressed. I'm a very calm and observing kind of person and deal with things in a professional way as they come along. This post is not directed at anyone in particular here on the AP site or anywhere else. It's posted up so that people will know what is expected of them when they want their items modified..etc by me.

People...do not send me soiled, dirty or unclean uniforms to modify..etc. Don't do it.

Below is an example of some items I just got in from someone.

DCU uniform top with left-over potassium/salt stains from human sweat:

DCU pants with dirt and soiled crusty dirt or whatever on back of pants:

I will modify or convert any and all types of uniforms...as long as they are in-tact and the material is still strong and new enough to take on new thread stitching from a size 18 sewing machine needle, however I won't sew someones soiled uniform if it has not been washed before I receive it. If it's an honest mistake..no biggie..I'll wash the items my self and hang dry them before working on them. I'm actually a fairly nice guy. Anyway, I have had to wash a few items that have come in recently and I do that out of friendship with the community, but I shouldn't have to spend time washing other peoples items after they arrive here. They should be clean and sterile before they arrive here.

Have a nice day.

Tack on a cleaning fee of $20 per item... And make sure you list it clearly in you pricing structure... That's what I would do.

Thanks, but no no, the real Man is the one upstairs and I can't wait for His return.

I'll tell you what, though...I really like the colors and uniforms they chose (although the mods were my suggestion to them)...they are going to look sharp for their city. To the domestic criminal...there's nothing more scary than seeing black and blue coming after you. :p

I didn't have the head gear and pieces for this illustration, to complete the look...maybe next time a LE order comes in I'll have those items..etc.

I'm pretty sure they are going to be stoked. Black and blue is a great combo.

Mr Janecki's ("Ash") Propper woodland E-FCHP RECON/BATTLE (FCHP version 2) pants and Tru-Spec FCHS combat shirt...

Items modified:

Try-Spec Large/Regular 50% cotton/50% nylon shirt (woodland)
Propper Large/Regular 60% cotton/40% polyester pants (woodland)
XGO Lightweight base shirt (OD)
Replica AirFlex combat knee pads (tan)

* I wear medium/regular...this uniform is a large/regular and is not my size, thus why it looks so big on me...

Internal knee pad height adjusters...they are sewn in at 2" in from the outer pocket edge...I pulled part of the upper pocket away so the adjuster could be seen (OD ITW Nexus 1" buckles w/1" OD nylon webbing)

Wide type mid-leg knee velcro adjusters and wide type ankle velcro adjusters

Probably no way I can get mine in before LC XI? I can overnight them... :)
I do hope that after all this discreditable shuffling we may be taken into action. It has a wonderful way of reconciling a man with himself: and with everybody else, sometimes. - 1st Lt. James Dillon

You guys are on a team...you could have sent them together and saved on shipping by the two or three of you all paying for shipping together. ;)

Anyway...maybe you are all too far away from each other or something.

I can do it in time if it's just pants that you need done. The only problem is... I won't be able to get you the pads on time if you don't already have some.

Let me know ASAP and we can go from there.
