Re: custom shotgun

The idea was to eliminate multiple enemies at 1-200 feet. If I want to take out people at 400+ I would build a howitzer (which is on paper atm, just trying to isolate an air tank).

Paintball?... I fail to see the resemblance between this and a paintball marker, or RPG... besides, I'm starting to think I made it too heavy. Maybe a support weapon.

what insult? i still play a little paintball now and then the only difference is the pace of the game

with paintball the weapons that least resembles an actual firearm(in most cases) is what makes a game suck to be on the other team, also that grip is from a paintball marker

Well this is definitely an idea! I'm in the process of making a similar weapon right now as a joint effort with my team. Only differences are, #1. Ours will be Electric and Fully Automatic. #2. 3 Barrels, 3 hopups. #3. We're going to have to custom CNC a gearbox and ALL the internals. We'll have to custom CNC an enlarged cylinder as well, and try to somehow make air nozzles that work with each differing hopup/barrel. It's going to be a very long and complicated process, but SO MUCH FUN WHEN IT'S DONE. :D I do like your design quite a lot. I plan on making a similar one for my own personal use sometime in the near future. :P

Holy crap that thing looks burly. Is it safe? I could definitely see it used in a scenario event by people who know what they're doing, but I wouldn't want to accidentally step in front of it and absorb all those BBs from point-blank range. I'm not sure how you would even chronograph that many BBs at once.

Yah I snaged an old dye grip. The project was kind of a steppingstone as well (experimenting with air cannons and welding together) as well. Mil similar wise, I do understand trying to make the projects look real, and I have always been partial to post apocalypse weaponry and tactics which is reflected in most of my projects. Now if someone could help out with finding a trailer axle and a tall propane/red gas tank, I would be able to start making my big project. So fail I guess on the shotgun, too heavy and not mil sim enough. I will get better though, promise.

Perfectly safe, that's why I used a steel tank and barrel, schedule 40 and other PVC looses structural integrity at low and high temps. The rear of the breach was even double layered and double welded for added safety. For a chrono, maybe shoot a spud lmao. But saftey was the major idea in mind, but with a co2 proppelent and the reality of major temp shifts in climate and gas (we all know co2 can freeze up if fired to rapidly) I used steel. PVC would have been asking for trouble and pain.

The best thing about this project is that it's real. Not endless posts about something on paper that never becomes anything. great job.
