Event Photos Moving Off-Site

Postby Matt » Sun Apr 22, 2007 7:37 pm

I've recently migrated our events photo gallery to an external server apart from the web server, at media.airsoftpacific.com. The gallery application was causing a number of crashes to the website when new media was released. This should alleviate the problem with the server going down whenever a new batch of photos is released. The gallery at www.airsoftpacific.com / gallery will be deleted. If you have links to photos there, you will need to change them, as the old ones will be gone.

On that note, if you're a photographer and you find yourself taking photos at numerous local skirmishes or OP games, please get in touch with me and I'll give you access to upload to the galleries. Please keep in mind, not everyone will be given access just because they ask for it, I want serious inquiries only. Also, I may take my sweet rump time figuring out how I want to arrange the permissions, so please bear with me. Thanks!

Wow, expansion. We're getting big.

I'm assuming they're will be an obvious link for first time visitors?

I don't mess with people who own guns, they have contingency plans.

Existing navigation on the site points to the new location. When I get rid of the old one, I will setup a redirect.

I hardly think it's the best site in the world. If I had all the time in the world there would be lots of improvements. :)

Ok ... there are existing accounts on here for Braddock, Kevin, Fred, and Raddue. If you guys need your passwords reset, let me know. You should have full access to add items, edit them and delete... including subgalleries.
