It's as basic as the day is long.
To tell you the honest truth, if you have to ask, and are unsure of the concept, you probably shouldn't be diggin' around in there to begin with.
I would recommend taking it to a profesisonal airsmith. There are several local shops/established players that offer such services. It's about $30-35.00 an hour, usually with a one hour minimum plus parts type fee schedule.
