Search Problem Workaround

As many of you have noticed, there's an issue with the search feature on the website that's effecting the "New Posts" since your last visit feature. I'm working on figuring out why it went tits up, until then you can navigate to the forum through the "Forum" link at the top or the left menu and see forums with new posts marked in red. I know, I know, it's so much effort. God help us all. This seems to be a PHPbb issue, seeing as their website is doing the same thing.
