Good to see that they went with industrial light & magic. The bullets striking the helicopter were particularly impressive. ;)

There was some gay editing, crappy effects and redundant scenes. However all in all it was good. Glad my APST brothas got to do this...

I found out about 20 minutes before it aired that I don't get the National Geographic Channel. Thank God for older brothers and Tivo.

The cinematography was decent, and APST did a really good job acting considering they've never really done anything like this before and they had really short notice.

Wish I could say the CG was better, and they did make a few editing blunders like including a shot with the ski lift in it. But all in all, it was pretty cool.

Well dude, to put it into perspective. These guys aren't even from the US, they setup this shoot on short notice halfway across the world and managed to pull together as much shit as they did. Film producers from California complain about how much of a hassle it is to shoot in Oregon, imagine the logistics for Europeans? I'm not saying they did a perfect job, I'm just saying it's not easy.

Also, forgot to mention earlier, props to Bill for organizing the team and getting a showing for this thing on such short notice. I'm still pissed I was out of town and had to miss it, but the team did an amazing job.

As poor as the CGI ended up being, I still would have busted my a$$ up and down that hill again. I don't have any regrets about participating in the action.

Matt and tool are correct though, I believe they were under some pretty serious restrictions with money and time......and of course logistics.

APST was pretty much "rangers 1-20" and most of the SEALs except for a few extra guys.

they thanked the skedco guys who let them use their stretcher things, but not the twenty extras who basically acted and did grip work?

We wouldn't be. We were "extras".

The "talent" wasn't credited either.
