Krukspec's New Armor

Postby Knuckles » Thu Jan 17, 2008 8:52 am

Let's face it. Airsoft is a fashion show. We all worry about how "tacti-cool" we are, and how much gear we can hang on our backs. Some of us want to roll with some comfortable old LBE gear; others want the state-of-the-art armor systems that are being seen worn by the elite operators over in The Desert. The problem we have been running into is finding that gear and getting our hands on it. Krukspec is a company based out of the Philippines that is offering some cutting edge designs assembled with quality craftsmanship.

it looks front heavy to me.

Because he has his mag pouches double stacked... It seems like that would throw your balance off.

this is my personal opinion here.

i think it looks like crap. alot of sag, the main pouch for ballistic plates looks horribly done and not well balanced. for $250 i can get blackhawk products that are proven, this just looks like soup samwiches to me. for this amount of money, you would think the quality would be better. the price pont for these should be under $150. it looks like guarder quality rigging.

the kruck spec combat shirts also look half asses compared to other knockoff brands or the real deal crye sexiness.

the fact that they are making you a big boys ciras might be kewl and all, but i for one will be steering clear of this brand name and thier products.

this is the real deal blackwater plate carrier, for carring real plates

Image

price point is $149 US.

and it blows away anything krukspec will ever make.

I look forward to hearing how their ciras works out Knuckles.

Their chassis though..... not the best replica I've seen yet. If I'm going to buy a chassis (and airsoft gods willing I will) I'm going to get something a little more accurate.
Hell, this http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.php? ... cts_id=999 is a more accurate replica than the Kruk piece.

I really like the fact that they added the quick release system, but I like ebaybanned's more for its sturdier appearance. Also, pictures of the inside looks like they need to do some work on the pads. A little work on the front plate carrier needs to be done though, but keep up the good work! I like the shoulder design, perfect for airsoft seeing as we don't need recoil pads, and attaching stuff there might be nice.

When I have the money available for one of Krukspec's Crye-style vests, I intend to get one. With a more substantial armour plate in the front, I think it won't look so 'saggy'.

I'm also hoping I can talk Krukspec into making things in AUSCAM.

guys the price is 250.00 USD

what you get is:
- all the pouches you see
- 1000d cordura or HD850
-FREE shipping for CAN and US buyers. ( shipping alone is 80.00 USD)

if you do the math the ARMOR will just cost you? 170.00 USD

Time to save my pennies and dimes! (nickels too.) I agree with the Pope. Hey Kruk, do you intend to make the armor plates for the vest? or will I have to find those somewhere else?

;) And thats why, when my finances allow, I'll be ordering one of your Crye style vests.

I'm just hoping that you guys can someday soon make it in This Pattern or This Pattern, so that it will match my gear. ;)

With as much as the front pouches stick off that, it looks like something you'd stick an infant in to tactically carry it around.

this quote came from a buying customer and i had no influence in thier expressed opinions of said products.

well lets see if i can break down the equasion for ye.....

250.00 for a REPLICA vest and crappy pouches (or vest - crappy pouches=170.00)< REAL blackhawk platecarrier @ 149.00 = a major fail at price gouging from some third world country.

does that airsoft calculus meet your requirements???

It's an original design also made for combat.
It's made of quality material.
Philippines is not a third world country compared to the likes of Afghanistan or Somalia.
Would it still be fake if you saw Philippines Navy SWAG or Marines or Filipino PMCs wearing it?
They are marketing it for civilian and military.

Now I have seen two different qualities coming from the philippines. The high and the low. My PNP6 uniform that I had gotten for my entire team for $30 each is honestly not up to par for real world combat use, threads broke and some ripped. These were from a private military tailor shop. My Philippine Marines uniform on the other hand is extremely high quality that it seems like not even a knife could cut through it. Compared to my Propper BDUs they are 10 times the durability and quality of anything Propper could make.

We'll only be able to see if it is high or poor according to Knuckles' review of this product.

For those of you who feel $250.00 shipped for a cuttign edge piece of kit is too much and think you are being taken advantage of:
Image
$85.00 as shown.
I challenge you to find a fully equipped CIRAS for even close to that price.

Krukspec is for real.
