We've taken the plunge and decided to separate Arms Deals from the rest of the forums by setting up a here on AP. You can find it linked under the community menu on the top, and you'll also see a short cut called "My ads" to have easy access to your own listings.
The new system has multiple categories for items, so as a buyer you can quickly jump to the type of item you're looking for rather than sift through pages and pages of posts. As a seller, you'll notice you can upload up to 5 photos with each listing directly to the site. No more remote hosting needs. You can also set your price, shipping information, and desired payment methods. When it's sold, you can update the status to mark it sold.
Ultimately, I think this will lead to a much better experience for the buyers and for the sellers. Also, to remind everyone, the rules from Arms Deals are still the same. This service is made for private sellers, not for retailers. Be sure that you have legitimate contact information in your profile before posting ads, thanks!
We'll leave the arms deals forums up for now so that current deals can be hashed out, but eventually they will be locked down and replaced by the new system.

I notice you can still post a new topic in the arms deal section. Are you going to lock that out to keep people from using the old method.
