Type 97 sniper rifle announced by Real Sword

Postby Knuckles » Sat Apr 05, 2008 10:44 am

COMING SOON!

Real Sword (based in Hong Kong) has announced the impending release of a Type 97 Gas powered sniper rifle. Real Sword is a company that has recently been introducing some cutting-edge technology into the airsoft scene. Their Type 97 AEG and Type 56 line are rumored to be remarkable pieces of craftsmanship. Their claim to fame is a new Research and Development process centered on improving existing airsoft designs. The pictures certainly look sexy enough. Let’s hope that it shoots as sexy as it looks.

[quote="Real Sword"]This sniper rifle features a bullpup stock in straight-line. Though this design is one of the most popular in modern assault rifle design, it is infrequent in sniper world. The snipe rifle is short and light weighted, easy to operate and work well under various conditions. It is suitable to use in places with obstructed vision or tight space like building serried cities and jungles.
97 sniper rifle is one of the lightest sniper rifles which are in service in all countries worldwide. The body of the 97 sniper rifle is made of high strength polymer and duralumin. Different kinds of optical sights can be mounted directly to the sniper rifle, and it is also equipped with flip-up sight.
The coming RS type 97 airsoft sniper rifle, complied with our consistent R&D concept and principle, is a true display of the real steel style and features. It enriches the products of “RS 2007,Year of China Airsoftâ€

DO WANT!

Seriously, that looks awesome. The bullpup design, light and durable body, and its aesthetic appeal.... awesome.

I'm a little skeptical of Real Sword's replicas...I know the externals are amazing, but from the review I read on ASR, the performance seems to be a little lackluster. Here's the link to the review.

Also, I love how they're basically producing every Chinese weapon from Battlefield 2. But...maybe that's just because Battlefield 2 uses all of the authentic Chinese weapons. Coincidence.

Awesome. I don't quite trust ASR...the primary complaint of the AK47 replica was that the the hopup killed the FPS to the tune of about 150.
