Trigger Happy M240G Review and Video Posted

Postby Matt » Thu Jun 12, 2008 8:38 pm

I'm finally back from the dead, and I've just published a new review from Nocte of the Trigger Happy M240G. AEX provided us with one to take a look at, you can see Nic's impressions by checking out the review. I've also got some photos up from a shoot we did in the studio, they're at the very end. We'll have the video review up on Youtube in a bit, stay tuned.

Neat review. $1,400 sure is a bit steep though... Maybe the chinese companies will do a cheaper knockoff now that they have something to copy.

Im disconcerted at someof the things mentioned, like accuracy feeding and the bipod falling apart, specially considering the price tag.

It would be a nice addition though. I anxiously await a chinese clone.

Nicely done, guys.
Please buy your gear from Rick Fisher; perhaps he can buy a Life.

The Trigger Happy M240G video portion of the review has been posted. It's Nocte's acting debut, so go easy on the guy, haha!

They need to make it louder so it achieves that "killer sewing machine of death" noise.

The little "putputputput" just isn't intimidating...

The gearbox is hidden away by quite a lot of externals, I don't know that you would really be able to make it louder.

not bad at all. I am sure with more practice nic you will be more smooth in the vocal delivery (IMO there were lots of little hiccups in the vocal sections ).. cool camera shots matt.. The overall product was very good and a good example of how it should be done.

However 40fps variance on the chrono tells me compression is serious issue and low fps doesn't make me all warm and fuzzy after dropping $1,400+. I would have thought they would make it somewhere around 380ish or slightly higher.

Hopefully. I don't consider myself a shy person, but talking to the camera is cold. It's like having a flowing conversation with yourself - it's not easy or natural unless you're a schizophrenic.

We will do more, and they will work more betterer as I continue.

Yeah. It takes practice. It still was good but since I know you I could tell you were a little off but it just take practice..

Imagine how a actor feels when they have to act in certain movies with a green screen and have to imagine something there that really isn't.

And Nic is orange. That's a white balance issue, which is my bad. Variable lighting conditions = annoyance.

But anyway, I would love to shoot more of these. If anybody has a brand new AEG on the way and would like to get together at the studio to shoot a video review, contact me!

Well, with Nic, it's better to be too warm than too cool... I mean it's Nic = whitey... that means you need to always have your white balance mired to be a little warmer.

No offense Nic ;)
