Housekeeping? You want buy used gear?

I've made some changes to the site to bring the classified ads out into the open. You may need to refresh to see it, but there is now a BUY/SELL button on the top navigation. Also, by popular demand, you can search classified ads as well. You'll see that option on the fly-out menu. I dropped the "home" link from the very end, since anybody can get back to the homepage by simply clicking the header anywhere else but the menu.

Why not just bring back the old classifieds? I for one though the system was FAR easier, you could copy and paste from other forums, and was much more visible.

There is a search option. See "Search Ads" under the Buy/Sell menu?

A lot of people like the new system better than the old system. 100s and 1000s of posts being bumped by newbs, gear that's no longer for sale, no categories, no ability to upload images directly to your posting. The old system was open, and sometimes more convenient, but given the feedback I've had I'm obliged to leave it the way it is.

Nice, this is a step in the right direction. Any way to filter these by "Ads since last visit," or is that anywhere close to being a near addition?

To get to 'Ads since last visit' you point to Buy/Sell and click on 'Classified Ads' and read down to the last one you saw.

I was thinking about copying the functionality from the "Posts since last visit" by just using the same code, except compare the time of your last visit against the classifieds database table instead of forum posts. Might be easy, might be a pain in the a$$, but I haven't had time to check into it yet.
