RAP4 Releases New M79

Postby Matt » Fri Oct 03, 2008 9:29 am

RAP4 has recently announced a new M79 launcher, and although it's a paintball product, it also has the ability to fire nerf howlers like popular Airsoft launchers. It would also have potential even with paint, to use as a hit marker on vehicles and bunkers. The new launcher starts at $499 and grenades start at $65. Check out the full article for photos.

If it's durable and reliable, I could see this being a good launcher option, but for those on a budget the "built it yourself" method will probably still be the way to go.

The M79 can fire a wide variety of 40 mm rounds, including M203, M68, M204 and many other variety of rounds.

The M79 Paintball Grenade Launcher is made of metal with an authentic wood finish. It is designed to work with all types of grenade shell that can fire 6mm paintball, .43 caliber paintball and .68 caliber paintball. A Nerf Vortex Rocket can be shot from the M79 Grenade Launcher by loading it into the bore along with a M68 grenade cartridge.. The Nerf Rocket can shoot over 50 feet to eliminate tanks, bunkers, and other structures.

awesome. Don't like the price though. But if its a really good system I guess it works.

neat, but VERY pricey for a tube with a stock on it. personally id stick to the cheaper airsoft ones, they do almost the same thing for less than half the price.

500 bucks for that?? F that. With that much money I could buy friendship, possibly even love, or a rotary launcher.
