RAP4 Hawkeye Mask Release

Postby Matt » Sun Jan 04, 2009 4:16 pm

Well, normally I wouldn't be interested in news about the release of a new paintball mask, but this one makes some key advances that may actually be useful to some Airsoft players who have avoided masks in the past. Aside from a new design that makes the mask more secure for active combatants, it also sports a flexible frame and cheek-guard which supposedly makes it easier to use the sights on your marker... Or in our case, AEG.

They have more specs and information on their website if you're interested. I've been saying that in order for masks to be adopted in Airsoft, they need to start being designed to allow us to aim. RAP seems to be moving in the right direction. At least, for those of you who don't want to be shot in the face.

I need to find some mask/goggles that are anti-fog i havnt found one that is truly fog resistant. I often find myself having to unfog my goggles every few minutes or so. Do you have any suggestions.

Dye i3 series were pretty good for me. They never fogged when I used them.

get a JT paintball mask. its the radar elite or something. its anti fog, full face and i can see down the handrail scope on my g36 so you have good visibility and versatility.

I use Sea Drops.... and have never had a fogging problem, unless I let the goggles/glasses go a couple of games without treating them.

If you're going to go to war against a major enemy, go; knock the hell out of him fast, and go in there to kill him and get it over with.

Oh, yay. Another paintball mask! If a wrap or balaclava doesn't provide adequate protection along with some full seals it's time for me to stop playing.

I breathe heavy for whatever reason and fog up bad, usually I just deal with it but sea drops worked really well for me.
