My remembering of it is that you lose most of the lag, but have a 5 gig per month limit and it is equivalently priced to satellite.

Yes, look into it. Report back to me. I'll have buy a signal booster and so forth, too. I can get text messages on my cell at my house, but not hold a conversation. I live in BFE.

I'll look into the cell thing.
There is a cell tower about 300ft behind our house so that could work out very nicely.

Not all cell towers are the same. You'll want to find out which carrier the tower is for, and if that carrier even has aircards (for example, I don't think T-Mobile does). Secondly, you'll want to make sure that tower supports the internet connectivity for that carrier (most towers in rural areas are voice/text only) or it might as well not be there.

So that's why it's been faster loading stuff. Very nice.

Actually, it's got a bit slower on my end. Then again, I didn't notice it till I read this thread. :-D

Yes that happened to me yesterday and the day of the move. But knowing what it was made it less of a big deal. I just hope it doesn't happen again.

The other day AP was down for like two hours when we moved the physical server off the floor and into a rack, but totally forgot that tool had the keys to unlock the front panel to turn it back on. We ended up ripping the panel off to power it up.

specs on the new machine?

Also seems to be faster, but to be honest that could totally be placebo.
