Spokane Airsoft Featured in Spokesman Review

Postby Matt » Tue Feb 28, 2006 9:59 pm

Wade Moss has just informed me that the Spokesman Review is doing a story about Spokane Airsoft. The story comes out in the Friday edition on March 10th, but in the meantime they've put up a slideshow about Airsoft. The photos were taken at a game at a private field in Cheney, west of Spokane, called Camp Camia. It's nice to see positive press about Airsoft, we'll be looking forward to seeing the article! Thanks Wade!

I just wish they didn't say pellets.... But I'm glad that the media is going to make us look good... For once.

We don't know that yet...
And this wouldn't been the only time good media on Airsoft has been revealed. This would be the 6th I've seen so far. OP: Irene III was featured in Time magazine as "the new type of reennactor".

I just got off the phone with Isamu and he said he felt very positive about writing the story and its content within. He said that everyone he interviewed, including the Spokane Police Deptartment was upbeat about airsoft. And that he felt that by organizing ourselves so that people including minors had a safe place to play and have fun was a positive note for the community as a whole.

So I have my fingers crossed, I not only hope that the article is positive, but that it is also correct information wise.

Looks to be good, although i must say that if the story follows the same vein as that slideshow, i think this will definitely be a good article. I never thought a slideshow for airsoft would be so cool.

Generally a good publication, though I wasn't keen on them stating in one of the first paragraphs that they can take out eyes and teeth. :(
