I read in some manual that combat was an adopted anagram, or term by the military meaning "combined battle tactics" as in combining armor and infantry. It was from the 50's, one of those with the "sarge's" cartoon head yelling stuff at you.

Now that ya'll questioned it, I looked it up. I was wrong, seems I was dooped by US propaganda. Go figure.

So scratch what I said, I can walk to the shootin.

Something else to think of... CQC or MOUT is not just moving around in a building. It's moving from cover to cover in an urban setting where the battle space is 360 degrees and has elevation. Not only do you have to watch your right and left limit, but also your third floor window, rooftop, and even basement window. MOUT is one of the deadliest and most difficult missions the military does. Most standard operation are done at a 3 to 1 ratio versus the enemy, MOUT is done at a 10 to 1 ratio.

Small clusters of buildings can be just as intense, if not more, than one large building.

ok...that's my two cents.

Oh...with now having 4 combat tours.....I am fairly sure I am not just reciting a Tom Clancy book.

It's sounding like more of the players like what we have going on at "The Swamp" in Lebanon. Just give you guys a heads up he is expanding his field and putting a few more buildings in. 1st game for airsoft out there will be around beginning of April. All depends on every ones schedules. Can't wait for that rush feeling again!

I'd definitely fly out for a CQC event given a bit of lead time.

As there are a wide variance in what MilSim is defined as, I suggest that CQB may have multiple interpretations, as well.

Our guys like multiple objective, timed phrases which depending on what happens at phase one reflects on phase two and so on. We like getting basic info before the game but like 1 hr before the game we get the rest of the info so plans change. Timed games being anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hrs. Any longer then that weakens everybody and players start to get bitter about things towards the end of the game. Also keep in mind that lower prices will bring more players and be able to play more often.
