New Guy Scope Help

Postby Santange11 » Thu Sep 17, 2015 7:37 pm

Wasn't to sure where to post this, but here it goes. I am pretty new and need help getting my first scope ( or sight, not sure on terminology) for my AEG. Simply what should I look for in features and price? Also one that caught my eye has a variable zoon of 2-6; something with 2x zoom too much for general use? Thanks for the advice.

What gun are you going to put it on? Where do you play mostly? What is your style of play?

These questions will help us help you.

Sorry, I have an M4 and play mostly outdoors, and don't have a play style yet.

Take a look at Visionking's short dot style scopes. I had one on my SCAR, and I really liked it. Eye relief was great, though it was a bit heavy vs a normal red dot (Aimpoint, Eotech, etc). They do not come with a mount, so you'll have to buy that as well. It's also +2 to style since they can make just about any gun super hot.

I like the look of this scope and the low zoom it has. With it being long its it hard to aquire targets?

I never had a issue using it. The illuminated donut dot in the middle helped a lot.
