Do you think it will have a good r.o.f?

To me, 600-900 rounds per minute is a good rate of fire. Personally, I would rather have one with a 600 rounds per minute rate of fire, than 1300 rounds per minute. I want to be able to reliably fire single shots, with a weapon set to automatic. I know that when stressed, I tend to fire more - so a lower rate of fire suits me better.

Thats the problem with using the word 'good'. It means different things to different people.

The BAR has a low rate of fire, but I really don't think that VFC will care all that much.

To me, a moderated rate of fire is characteristic of the BAR.

That is one sexy replica.

Disturbingly impractical? Thats funny, it worked well enough through two World Wars.

You should come up for a WWII game SoulReaper, they are IMO the best airsoft games I have been to.

I will be up at a Battlesim WW2 game with my WW2 team :D

The BAR I believe was only used in WW2 BTW. It was adopted to late for WW1.

airsoft-news.eu wrote:Monda Int.: Word from offical VFC distributor
The plot thickens. James from Monda International sent in this news- it appears that both prices and anticipated models, communicated by Jon from NitroAirsoft.com are wrong:

The news you post regarding VFC BAR and M1A1 Carbine are not TRUE. I don't know where the Jon (NitroAirsoft.com) get the information from. But, They are not VFC agent, distributor or dealer. They don't have right to post any information about VFC with out authorize.

OK! Let's clearly the true

The VFC not making M1A1 or M1A2 Carbine now. As I know, They just plan to make the folding stock kits for Marushin GBB M1A2 Carbine only. The release date unknown.

The VFC have not release any price information about the BAR AEG and Folding Stock kits for Marushin GBB M1A2 Carbine.

I estimate the retail price for the first limited CNC version BAR will be around US$1500.00~1800.00.

At least we know where we stand and frankly- previous news was too good to be true :(

So Nitro was wrong? Im shocked.

According to Wikipedia it was used in very limited numbers in WW2.

If either of you guys (SoulReaper or Junto) need any help with impressions (whats best, whats cheap but good, etc.) feel free to throw me a PM.

Well, see, thats the interesting thing. I first saw this story at airsoft-news.eu (but didnt get a chance to post it here, before Sleepy did). The story origionally broke (from my point of view) when

Airsoft Assist leaked information to Airsoft-news.eu, NitroAirsoft does not show up until a couple days later with information about the M1A1.

As this is the BAR thread, I am confused by your post. While yes, the M1A1 was in very limited use (primarily with Paratroopers), the BAR was used in very large numbers during the second world war.

Mind clarifying your position?

Ooops, I meant WW1 not WW2.

The M1A1 wasnt just used primarily with paratroopers :P, Rangers had TONS of them, as well as regular infantry (but not as much). But I am nitpicking, and yeah that was a typo with WW2.
