Just a quick question, is this baby gonna be electric or gas? I would imagine electric, but not sure.

A classic-style BAR would be fun. Recoil FTW! Sadly, this will still have the Hells-Own-Sewing-Machine noises.

Taken from www.airsoft-news.eu

Vega Force Company: A statement
We received statement general manager of Vega Force Company Mr. Vega Kung, regarding their plans and current affiliations with stores. We feel that it is very important:

Dear Airsoft-news.eu,

Thanks very much for Airsoft-news.eu, this is an excellent website for all of us who are interested in Airsoft. There are a lot of loyal players checks your website every single day, of course including staffs of Vega Force Company.

Regarding the news on Airsoft-news.eu VFC:M1A1 Carbine – Vega Force Company need to verify below:

1. Vega Force Company is going to release M1A1 Carbine Folding Stock Kit, not the complete M1A1 Carbine. The price is not confirmed yet, the release date would be after 2nd quarter of 2007.

2. First lot of VFC BAR is CNC limited edition. The retail price is USD 1,500. The release date is the end of March.

3. Vega Force Company never has any contact with NitroAirsoft.com. We really have no any clue about where they got the information from.

Vega Force Company permitted Excusive Wholesales Right to USA AREA only for Advanced Action Sports

After confirmation, NitroAirsoft.com didn’t get authorization to use any of Vega Force Company’s picture, logo, trademark and all of the relate information. Don’t even mention about new product price before Vega Force Company.

More about the rate of fire... the original BARs actually had an adjustable rate of fire, but came issued at the beginning of WWII set to the lowest rate because the box magazines that were issued only held 20 rounds. The gun was supposed to be a sort of "SAW" weapon, but really just turned into an automatic M1 Garand. In the later years of the war, the BAR had the adjustable rate of fire feature removed, as it proved to complex for the battlefield. However many BARmen spent a lot of time with their rifles and figured out to up the rate of fire, cut down the barrel, extend the magazines, and for the very inventive, set it up to fire .30 machine gun ammo (the kind on belts). Pretty useless information, but good ideas for customization in the future if your into that sort of stuff.

edit : 20 rounds in box mag. damn that sticky zero key
