Basic loadout should look something like this.

Type 3 OD BDU's
USGI VN web gear. (H strap, Pistol belt.)
101st Airborne and Airborne patch (VN Era)
US jungle boots. (Black, prefer VN era.)
OD cover is up to user, Boonie (OD or TS) or Baseball style cap.
AEG's Primarys.

Early war Field Gear: Cotton

1 M56 or 61 fanny pack
2 M56 canteen covers
1 M56 First Aid kit pouch
1 M56 E-tool cover and M51 combo e-tool

Late war Field Gear: Nylon

1 M67 Nylon H-suspenders
1 M67 pistol belt- nylon

OR i could make those willing a CAR-15 out of an M733... (its not very tough, and costs less than 100 bucks... before you add shipping)

There is some repro Vietnam gear available now by Fox Outdoor. Its definately not as good as the originals..but its affordable.

All you need for that, is an A1 upper receiver, and a new flash hider. To be 'right', you need an A1 profile barrel also . . . ;)

But . . . . an A1 style upper, and a new flash hider, and you should be good :-D

however . . . .. . Real Men use Full Size M16's
