Two words cowboy airsoft

Postby thejerk211 » Fri Feb 25, 2011 3:23 pm

So has any one put on a cowboy or western type game. How much fun could that be? A saloon, whores, and, Airsoft peace makers. I could really get in to this. Am I alone or should the community start looking in to a cowboy game

We've talked about it. There's very little period replicas available. Demand wasn't that big either :/

If you build it they will come?

The biggest hurdle for me when wanting to get this set up was the site to do it at.

There are *enough* replicas that would be at least good enough to start off a series, and the clothing is not that hard to get, but don't expect more than a dozen people doing it. At least shooters.

A small game with whores? I'm in. I knew that SASA gear would come in handy.

if you set the time at the early 1900s you could include stuff like 1911s, browning high powers, lugers and mausers. rifles are tougher, most of the lever and bolt actions from that timeframe are on the more expensive side.

I think it'd be something along the lines of the Manicotti games.

Of course, it'd have to find a set of buildings to host it in, with props and not a constant fire fight.

Using the Farm, you could easily do this game. If you admitted you'd make no money, and put a lot of money into making the village there look like a cowboy town, and accepted that you're in a tropical cowboy town surrounded by dense woods, it's feasible.

How about we all pick up KTW flintlock pistols for about a hundred bucks and have a good old fashioned revolutionary war?

Make it a shooting gallery style game. Get yourself some actors to put on costumes and play the bad guys, and then run 1 or 2 at a time through it. You could time them and give the winner a prize or something. You can have your bystanders (whores) and townsfolk too, if you shoot them you lose points. It's like one of those shooting arcade games, except it's real. Think of it like a haunted house, you pay to get in for about 5 minutes of actual fun. I'd throw down some cash to shoot some folks with a 6 shooter in a western town.

Have a costume contest for the best dressed.

Mad props if you rig up a tumble weed.

yeah I was thinking more Bonanza/ Roy rogers every one hanging out in a barn. Then one by one or in small teams take turns having a last man standing shoot out. and in the down time whores and Sweet Sarsaparilla. then even possibly have some horse mounted shooting. yeah I keep going back to the whore actors part. How cool would it be to see Ben Martin in old west whore drag. lol o god that's funny.

If there was ever going to be a new line of Colt revolvers Tanaka is the only company I could see making a decent go of it.

And no they don't but KTW makes a very cool gold plated Winchester 1892 Randall:

I think a game set up to have a single person "walk through" and experience a story or environment would be seriously awesome. then again i have always been a "role player" more than a "hack-and-slash" kinda guy. id pay top dollar to do it though.
