Not for the ARVN.
And if it's mid war , all US Infantry carry M16's.

This.
Just because you played black ops using them doesn't mean it was normal for mid war line units.

didnt realize he said it was mid war only anywhere. anyways, you dont have to be rude about it.

Nope, no ak47's, because this is a join ARVN/USA Airsoft team. They only used M16's, m14's and XM177'S. Yes, in the the advisor period of the Vietnam War, ARVN used Carbines, Garands, BAR, and Thompson. But this is based on the Tet Offensive, and thereafter.

i realized it was only US/ARVn shortly after i posted. Also, thank you for being more clear about the time frame, and not being rude when correcting me.

Remember, although it was midwar, and it seemed like all troops had m16's, some still had m14's

But what you all forget is that the ARVN was supported by France before anyone. The ARVN used many types of guns. As did everyone in Vietnam. Vietnam started out as A FRENCH TERRITORY!!!!! The Legion Etrangere had a regiment stationed there, this regiment is now stationed in French Guiena. The Tiger stripe was first adopted by the French then given to the US. The ARVN adopted it from BOTH countries.

If i may re start this topic with some history.
The French used TAP47 , also known as Lizard Pattern, when the French left Indochine the South Vietnamese Marine Corps kept using TAP47 and then created the Sea Wave Pattern camo , then the ARVN Rangers developed their own version and this was named Tiger Stripe pattern , when US advisors with MAAG started coming into Vietnam they started using Tiger Stripe uniforms to blend in with their ARVN troops.
