So is your ARVN team an Airborne or Ranger unit?
If it isn't , OD uniforms only should be worn by the unit.

Not for the ARVN.
And if it's mid war , all US Infantry carry M16's.

This.
Just because you played black ops using them doesn't mean it was normal for mid war line units.

Yeah, I think we should all just wear OD green. But remember, there are no commies in this group. Not all American forces used m16's. The Marines held tight onto their m14's, and the special forces used m14's, m16's, and xm177's. Just to clarify.

Nope, no ak47's, because this is a join ARVN/USA Airsoft team. They only used M16's, m14's and XM177'S. Yes, in the the advisor period of the Vietnam War, ARVN used Carbines, Garands, BAR, and Thompson. But this is based on the Tet Offensive, and thereafter.

What is your plan for the uniforms?
The ARVN uniform looks and feels much different than the US OG-107's and even more different than the Jungle Fatigues.

No no, the ARVN uniforms were modeled after the American uniforms, because the American uniforms imported, were to big for ARVN soldiers. I have ARVN made, and USA made jungle fatigues 3rd pattern, and theyre the same, except for the size. But the plan for the uniforms, are to wear: 4 pocket shirts, 6 pocket pants, and helmets with mitchell, net, or no cover at all. The shirts and pants dont have to be a specific pattern, but they have to have 4 pockets, and the pants have to have 6 pockets.

It is preferable, that you live in California. If not, you can still represent the team elsewhere. But one day, we will all meet together, and play.

My dad was an ARVN officer. The shirts had 2 pockets, and 4 pockets. It depended on their preference. I know this, because Ive been studying many topics about the Vietnam War for as long as I can remember. I have an ARVN 4 pocket shirt with Vietnamese markings on it. It does have the hip cargo pockets. Dont try to prove me wrong, because, Im right.

I am not trying to prove you wrong , i am trying to help you get the uniforms right.
If you read more carefully you will notice that i wrote , the trousers have no hip cargo pockets , not the jackets.
I am sure that in your 15 years you have learn about the conflict , but i have been collecting and even talking to a lot and i do mean a lot of veterans from both the US and the ARVN side for about 25 years , i even dated a girl who's father had been an ARVN Captain and i saw many of his photos and uniforms.
Like i said , i am trying to help you out , because many times you younger guys half a$$ the impressions , because you think you know more than others do.

Well, as far as i know, my trousers have 6 pockets: 2 slant pockets, 2 cargo pockets on the thigh, and 2 butt pockets. And those are my ARVN ones. I too, have met many veterans, but maybe you've only met the veterans that have said different things. So, do you want to join? I would be happy to let you be the XO, because you know a lot, and you can help me correct people that are wearing wrong items on their gear.
