Not perfect in any regard, but it has the look.

Used these items:
FN FAL(not the proper L1A1)
M16VN
P58 web gear
DPM smock
1st pattern 107 trousers(US made for Vietnam)
Black/OD watch cap
Woodland scrim
Jeans(probably not correct)

Depending on the picture I also have a M56 canteen pouch as I don't own a P58 canteen but still like to have water.
The boots and gloves are crap I know, but cold and rainy days make me break kit for warmth.

Very cool start! Just keep building here and there and eventually it'll be spot on.

I've considered building a Falklands impression but I have to finish my WW2 German Fallschirmjaeger first, and then WW1 British impression for blankfire/ living history.

I really need these lottery tickets to start paying off...

Thanks! Impressions are always a work in progress, as money and availability allow. Juggling multiple impressions and modern kit adds up.

Its Brit, not sure exactly what cut smock it is. The date on it is either during or right after the war, I'll have to find it and check.

Has the name "Kingsley" written on the tag from the original owner, cool touch I think.

Good start, if you don't mind i have some suggestions for you.
Drop the Kidney pouches and replace them with 44 pattern water carriers , add a couple more magazine drop pouches.
The smock might be a mid '80s smock , can't tell for sure without seeing a better pic.
Depending on the operation you can mix and match uniform items to match what the troopers wore.
Also , weapon wise , there is a nice range of weapons used by the SAS and SBS , XM177, M16A1, Sterling, L1A1 and captured Argentine FN FALs, specially the folding stock ones.
A good pair of Civvy Mountaineering Gaiters will also add to the look depending on what time frame you are looking at doing.
A cool item , but a hard to find item , would be a 72 pattern vest.

Constructive advice is valued!

I did not know that about the kidney pouches, I will keep my eyes open for some of those water pouches.

I knew about the weapon range, since oddly enough my M16A1 is the most fitting weapon I own currently until I get L1A1 furniture for my FAL. A non-classic sterling would be amazing. Civvy Mountaineering Gaiters?

Again thanks for the advice.
