Vietnam Video Project for School

Postby shurley » Wed Feb 05, 2014 7:08 pm

Hey guys,

So for my senior English, I have to do a project for the book The Things They Carried and I need help from Vietnam players. I have to do a video project where I need to act as a American soldier in Vietnam. I have the gear set up, from Alice clips to the clothing, but I am missing something; The proper time period rifles.

I need 2 rifles that are very close to the M16A1. This is a non profit film group making a movie, and credit will be given where credit is due, meaning you will be praised for helping us with the props.

That being said, people might be skeptical about lending a rifle, and I know the exact feeling. Lending a rifle is almost like lending a toothbrush. But I can guarantee that we will take care of the rifles as if they were are own, and I believe we take care of our rifles in a civil manner.

I hope I was able to convince some of you guys, and I would love for you guys to help me. To keep this easier, if you are interested in helping us with the props and maybe even acting, reply to the thread and we will go from there. Thank you

Still need any help?
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words are merely the smallest element of language capable of containing meaning in isolation and as such could never directly produce the 4000 newtons of force per square centimeter required to break bone.

I realize I'm aiding a necro posting.

You were assigned Tim O'Brien for a high school English class? That's awesome.

For the record, that was an assigned book in a 200-level college fiction-writing class when I was in college. You know, right after the Vietnam war. Or maybe that was in 1990 or so.
