Any experience with Matrix 40mm CNC grenade shells?

Postby Reeko » Sun Sep 15, 2013 7:32 pm

Cant find any reviews of these things other than the manufacturers overviews. Which are pretty unreliable, since they will say anything to sell them. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with them. More specifically this one.

And how it might compare to the Madbull multipurpose CO2 shells. I love the madbulls but paying 80 bucks a pop seems unreasonable if a 30 dollar shell does the job just as well, or at least close.

Please dont reply unless you can actually help. i dont need a giant off topic thread of personal opinions on the effectiveness of 40mm grenades. Just keep it simple guys. If the thread dies because nobody can help, than so be it.

Ask blue about them, i believe he has a few of them. If i recall, he said they weren't that great compared to the madbull ones, cause i asked him about them a few months back.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty

I had the "short" version for a little while. They seemed to function as well as the Madbull shells, with about half the power of course (owing to the half the size of the Madbull) I would buy them again, if I was looking to get more multi-use shells

From my experince with MB, KA, POM and some other off brand shells, nothing beats MB shells. I'd look for used one since their retail price is nuts.

If the above mentioned doesn't work, swap the piston head o-ring to a #14 from home depot, and there is also a modification that can be done to the mech box casing where the tappet plate comes to rest at the very front, basically removing a small amount of metal to allow the tappet plate/air nozzle to push a little farther into the hop up unit.
When in doubt, empty the mag.

I've had good luck with Dboys brand shells.

Normally "Matrix" brand stuff from evike is rebrands from CYMA, Dboys, A&K, etc.
