The course will cover:
Land Nav
hand to hand combat (mouth piece recomended)
1st aid
contact drills
water ops( again its a maybe were working on safty boat and swimmer)
insert/extract
camoflauge
comm
op planning
range cards
surveilance
terrain models
booby traps
patrol tactics

liability signatures will be required to attend

this is going to be a free course there is no fee to attend . however since we are putting in this much effort into planning and logistics we ask those who attend come prepared to learn!!!!!!! . this is no yelling or degrading training session but we have a lot to cover in a short amount of time. it will be intense.

we intend to run a scenario and have our students do everything from the planning stage to making contact and extracting back to the AO. should be fun .

The cadre will consist of Recon Marine Veterans , as well as one or two Scout/Snipers and members from 2 Foreign Military Forces.

Any weapon from the Vietnam War era is allowed , as well as Tiger Stripes , ERDLs or O.G. 107 uniforms.

The course will be intense but fun .

Age limit? Is there distiction between ERDLs and woodland BDUs? I want to go to this, might have a problem borrowing a Vietnam War era replica though, rentals?.

Your best bet is to buy a set of the proper tiger stripe or some Vietnam era OD bdu's. Woodland BDU's area lot different (well less green, but easily distinguishable).

Age limit is 17 with parent/guardian consent OR 15 if there is parent/guardian attending or in the nearby area, say camping close by. May first is the deadline.

Would you be opposed to us coming in LRRP looking stuff? Ill eat Kim-Chi for a week before hand and roll around in a sewage ditch too. I also prefer to run barefoot.

No problem , there was no difference on how LRRP or RECON looked during the war .

By the way , RIP will be close to Placerville, CA.

No you don't need a complete Vietnam impression , we would be able to provide loaner gear.

Don't know about a shuttle for the drive down , i will be flying down for RIP and ship my gear and weapons.

It is free to borrow gear yes , we are building up a stockpile of loaner gear for any one that will need gear.

All instructors are Marine veterans , Combat veterans and other U.S. Military services as well as Foreign Military members.

Any Vietnam compatible uniform and weapons are allowed.
Primary emphasis is Marine Recon and Navy Corpsmen impressions , but other impressions are allowed , LRRP , SOG , Ranger , SEAL , SAS.

Loaner weapons and gear will be available for free , it's all about learning about Vietnam Era tactics , History and to have some fun.
