Chargers... ?

Postby book42 » Sun Sep 10, 2017 9:49 am

So, here's a question (I searched for the answer, but came up empty. Forgive my ignorance if it's out there and I simply missed it. :? ) Anyone have knowledge of a reliable and accurate charger; specifically for Lipo batteries, of course? My curiosity was peaked the other day while charging batteries. I have three separate chargers and put the same battery on each, and came up with three separate readings. Hhhmmm... Got me thinkin', maybe it's time to invest in a decent charger.

Be well. And hopefully I will see you all next month.

Best regards,

I also use a Tenergy Charge. The one I keep at home has a few more bells and whistles, but no issues scene I bought it in 2015.

I like it because the AC to DC converter is built into the unit.

The one I carry in the field is really simple but still has some nice features. I bought mine at AONW 4+ years ago and can't find it for sale anywhere today.

I also use the Tenergy Charge as CrossBow. I actually started using it back in 2008 ish and it still works. I use to race RC cars and when I started playing airsoft I just used the same charger. Easy to operate and works great!

If you are willing to spend the money, you can get a charger that does every battery type under the sun and does 4 at a time... if you want. Charge, discharge, balance, storage charge, AC/DC.

This is the one I have: http://hitecrcd.com/products/chargers/d ... er/product

Using it for 3 years now and charge 8 batteries a game with no issues. Save a profile for your different capacities and type, plug it in and let it go to work.

Spendy? Sure but you will NEVER buy another.

Holy crap! That is some charger. Thank you for the information Heretic. I had a feeling there was more to chargers than I realized. :D

No problem. Hitech makes smaller ones that I assume are built to last like the one linked above for MUCH less.
